Segovia
It was a bit of a shock on Tuesday to find we were flying to Madrid on Wednesday and not later in the week as we expected.

I blame three things for this. The first is, of course, Donald Trump, who has made airlines reconsider their schedules. Expedia, which (today!) told me to to get ready for our trip tomorrow. Finally, me I should have checked sooner.
Fortunately Iberiaexpress were on the ball.

Anyway, we're here now. A bit of quick rejigging and we arrived in Segovia yesterday.
Its quite easy to get to from Madrid; the train takes about half an hour and then a taxi into town from the high speed station.

But the old town is lovely. We spent this morning wandering around in the cool. The temperature is in the low to mid 70s – great.

Tomorrow, its going to be much hotter so we've booked a timeslot for the castle – which Walt Disney based his designs on – and the Cathedral.

Saturday, we're back to Madrid then on to Seville!
