Porto, step two
We took the 0900 Alfa Pendular from Lisbon Saint Apolonia station touching speeds of over 220km/h or 137mph along the way.

The trains are very comfortable and excellent value in first class compared to the UK's relatively expensive system. Its half price if you're over 65, which one of us is. Happy days!

We were in Porto on time at 1145 thats about 280km or 175 miles travelled as the Portugese crow flies.

A quick 10 min cab ride – there's no point walking further than you have to – and we were at the Cathederal. A few minutes later our credentials were stamped. This means that we can collect stamps aling the way and show we've walked to Santiago... if that's what we do.
We wandered over to the Eifel bridge, which is happily shared between people and trams. Then down the hill to our hotel.
After checking in, we dropped the bags and found some lunch after a bit more meandering around.

Taking the rest of the day easy because we walk to Matsoscinos tomorrow.
