By Uber to Viana do Castelo
We woke up and found it was overcast, raining and so we decided to skip Esposende – the next usual stop on the route north – and spend two days in Viana do Castelo.
So we took an Uber from one hotel to the next. If we had been pilgrims on a pilgrimage that would have been a big thing, as we're on holiday it isn't.
Viana is a small interesting city, with a strong maritime and labour history.

Taking the cab meant we missed the walk over one of Eiffel's many bridges. But, we got into town within the hour.

We found a laundrette, bought our rail tickets for Thursday and rested in the hotel until dinner.
We've got a trip on a funicular railway planned for tomorrow and hopefully some good views along the coast.

We're going to hop the train to Caminha on Thursday and then get into Spain. There's nothing wrong with this part of the walk, but the weather's a bit dodgy.
Currently the "plan" is to walk to Vigo and then decide what we're up to...
